Aron Sweaters - Type of Stich

ZIG-ZAG

"The twisted cliffs along the shore" or the "The Cliffs to which we return".

THE TREE OF LIFE

The limbs-offshoots of the long-lived parents trunk symbolises strong sons and family unity

BASKET STITCH

The fisherman's basket for catches abundant

IRISH MOSS

A grateful symbol of the gift of the sea - Carrigeen Moss, which is harvested at low tide.

CABLE

The fisherman's rope-safety and good luck when fishing

TRINITY or BLACKBERRY STITCH

The emblem of God given life and healing. A way of life and a fruitful one.

DIAMOND

Success, wealth and treasure.

TRELLIS

Symbolic of the small, stone-walled fields of the west.

DOUBLE
ZIG-ZAG

This symbolizes the ups and downs of married life.

THE LINK

The eternal link with those who left the homestead "to sail away to lands afar".

HONEYCOMB
